2025 Poker Run

This Poker Run is held to help raise funds for VFW Post 4574 to help them with Veterans Assistance Programs. Also, to help with scholarship prizes for the Voice of Democracy and Patriots Pen Essay Contest. This will be a scenic ride through southern Oklahoma and have a stop at the Veterans Center. Starting point will be Biker Heaven at 917 North Washington Ardmore, Ok. Registration is $20 first hand and $10 for each additional hand. Registration begins at 9:00 am, first bike out at 10:00 am and last bike in at last stop by 4:00pm.

The Riders Group was established to help promote the VFW their mission and their Community Activities. It allows more opportunity to be seen and heard.

With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help.

As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

A satirical reflection by Author/Artist Phil Fehrenbacher

Phil enlisted in the Army in 1965 where you served for years in Vietnam.  He became a graphic designer and has worked for the state of Oregon for 26 years.  He retired in 2003 and started the Cartoon "In-Country".  The cartoons reflect his experiences during his tour of duty in South Vietnam.


There is a new cartoon everyday.
