Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help.

Carter County Memorial VFW Post 4574 and the VFW Riders Post 4574 has several things coming up in the next few months. August the 22 is our Annual Fighting 22 Car Show at the Ardmore Convention Center from 1:00 to 7:00 PM. August 27 thru 29 the Oklahoma VFW Riders have joined with the VFW Riders from Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas to have our Inaugural Operation Daily Battle Rally in Texarkana. It is a fund raising to help bring awareness of Veterans suicide. Money raised will go to the help train Counselors in how to recognize and help individuals in need and to also raise funds for the VFW's Unmet Needs Program. September 11 the Post will be hosting a Hamburger and Hotdog Cookout for Veterans and their families. It will be from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at the Post located at 529 South Washington. September 17 thru 19 is the VFW Riders Of Oklahoma Rally to be held at Sequoya State Park. September 22 is the Medal Of Honor Escort from DFW to Gainseville Texas.
